alright i have one really quick question, i just installed my intake just yesterday. And after i started up the engine to warm up i went inside to get my wallet then i see my dad taking it down the street and back. my question is whats the use letting the car sit there for 5 minutes and will this effect my intake in any way?
you should've had your battery disconnected throughout the install.
once you complete the install, you turn over the car and let it sit for a couple minutes to adjust to the mods.
other than resetting your radio stations, you should be good to go.

It should be. If you're that concerned about it just take your negative terminal off again and go through the procedure again. It's basically just resetting your ECU and allowing the computer to recognize the new component. How do you like your intake? I just installed an Injen mega-ram SRI on my car today.

You could get the same effect by removing the ECU fuse for at least a couple minutes. That way you won't have to redo all your radio presets and whatnot.
