just a question for you guys that have jdm sidemarkers..
how do you wire them? i mean does it goes with the turn signal, or it goes with the park light..? meaning does it blinks or just stays on?

is it better to stick to jdm? everyone likes that more? wouldnt people want the side marker to stay on thought? NO ONE has constant side markers that also blink... i like that...

True that.
IF you want them to stay on switch the negative on sidemarker to turnsignal wire of bumper light

if you want to have your sidemarkers blink and stay on constantly.....just splice into the corner light that blinks and stays on constant.....
pretty easy stuff!

its not that easy my friend. they have dual filament bulbs with 3 wires in the corner light. the side marker is a single filament. u have to wire a pos to the green of the runing light and a pos off the corner blinker light.....im in the process of actually wiring it ill let u all know hpow its supossed to be wired

I'm not too familiar with DA wiring harnesses for these things, but on my DC4 I had wired the JDM OEM sidemarkers to stay constant AND blink when the turn signal was activated. Talk about a bad mistake.....the ECU went out shortly after that and I couldn't start my car anymore. I had everything checked out...wiring underneath the dash.....etc etc. It was the sidemarkers and how they were wired ( which will be described below ). Apparently, it caused too much of a load on the stock relay or something ( I forget ) and somehow my ECU ended up being adversely affected by it ( how...I dunno because when I replaced the ECU and disconnected the sidemarkers...car started up fine
) Now...it will work, BUT, if the DA wiring harness for the turn signals are generally the same as the DCs then I would not recommend having the sidemarker do both as you only get two wires ( or two connections for the wires ). One...has to be a ground. The other....there you have a choice of it either staying constantly on, or act as a blinker along with your turn signals. Can't have both. At least...on the DCs anyway. If you can do it on the DA's....sure, just tap or splice one wire into the constant, the other into the "accessory" or the wire that allows the bulb to flash.
You'd be better off getting a sidemarker with harness that includes 3 wires ( not sure if that's even available and I've never seen one with 3 wires ) but that definitely would not be JDM ( correct me if aftermarket in JDM land counts
...again...if they are even available...which I highly doubt. ). Its up to you. But I would definitely research your wiring harness first to see if that is "allowable" on your ride without anything causing a potential short or....what happened to me

A sidemarker, is a turn signal on the fender. Wire it up to your existing turn signals.
