Default Heat Sheilds/Dust shields

I was talkin with bbasso about taking them off. You think i should just bend the front outward to create more of a ram-intake affect?

Seems the logical approach.

Wuts would be so funny about doing that. I have factory fog lights so brake ducts are out of the question. Do you have to use heat insulation tape on the lower ball joint when you take the shields off?

Think about it for a second. Ram air ... how? How is air going to be rammed in there when you have a wheel with tire blocking airflow?

Lower, tie rod and anything else that you come across that might fail because of excessive heat. Oh, ABS sensor too.

Yea I was thinkin about the airflow as well. So wut should I do then, if you say the excessive heat might ruin the ABS sensor and the lower tie rod link how is everyone running without them and not having problems?

Just wrap them up with heat reflective tape/wrap. Should be fine with that. Make sure they stay on though (zipties or whatnot).

Instead of taking them off, I'm just going to drill an intake size hole and run ducting. I have the ducting mise well use it. I'll just take the fog lights out when I do trackdays.

hack them off if you think you can heat up the VRs to the point of fade, no need to have that much heat retained on the brake setup.
