Give me some advice

Get your car aligned. Don't just get new tires and destroy them because the car has an alignment problem.

Your tire size is not causing your tire wearing problem. Get your car aligned.
As far as choosing a size, you really should try to choose a tire size whose outer diameter is as close to stock as possible. Not only does this preserve the accuracy of the speedometer and odometer, but this will avoid rubbing problems. You really risk rubbing when you choose a tire that is wider AND whose outer diameter is larger.
Your Prelude came stock with 205/50-16 tires. Here is how the various 17" sizes you have mentioned (in this topic and the other one
) compare in outer diameter with stock:
205/40-17 -2.6 percent
205/45-17 +0.8 percent
215/40-17 -1.2 percent
215/45-17 +2.3 percent
So I would NOT use the two sizes that are so drastically different from stock, the 205/40-17 or the 215/45-17. This leaves the two sizes, 205/45-17 and 215/40-17, which are both pretty close to stock. Note that these are the same two sizes recommended by the Tire Rack folks.
Which to get, 205/45-17 or 215/40-17? Either size should be fine. Both are off by about the same percentage from stock. And the one that is wider has a smaller outer diameter, so they probably have equal chances of not rubbing. Choose whatever tire you're interested in, and see which of those two sizes are available. If they're both available, buy the cheaper one, flip a coin, whatever you need to do to decide between two equal choices.
But get the alignment before you go driving around on your new tires...

I'd use the 215/40/17 size for better lateral stability and a sportier ride. It will give you a slightly wider contact patch compared to the 205.
