Can I buy re-enforced rear control arms?????
Hey, i just finnished swapping my rear control arm because my main bushing was shot. I have to say that I was amazed at how weak they are. Basically a piece of stamped sheet metal with little sheet metal re-enforcments on the back. It's pretty sad when you have to worry about warping a CONTROL ARM when your wrenching on it trying to get old rusted bolts out.
So I just wanted to know if you can buy ones that have been made out of piping or something.
THanks

sounds like you have an 88 crx. its actually supposed to be stronger than a solid piece they put on 89+ models. but its insignificant. i wouldnt worry about warping issues, once the bushings are in place and bolts are tightened, its structurally stiff.
yeah it seems so. its that im a big rally buff and hitting a lot of bumps and catching the ocaisional bit of air gives me doubts on its strength.
I think it would be a fun progect to buy some chrome molley tubing, fire up the old bender and make my own!!
i have a 1990 civic hatch
