How far did you get and why'd you back out on your turbo kit?
Just wondering how many HT'rs got all their parts, or most of them... and decided to sell it all for a different idea...
it seems to be a pattern that we all collect the perfect parts, then either get bored, or back out... so how far did you get with your kit, and why'd you decided aginst it?
my problem... lack of job and money

I have every thing here but about to back out because I don't want to mess with it any more. Im losing my interest in modding hondas and I can't get any one around here to help me put a new clutch in..

i think i'm in the EXACT situation as you.
i have almost everything.. i don't have a downpipe or dumptube though. if you see my sig, in the for sale ad, it lists everything i have. i think i'm going to get a station wagon next.

try TPR those guys have a pretty nice shop and are in Ohio they sell alot of engines on ebay not sure on exact location but search on ebay
I had my turbo installed at TPR. They aren't the best at customer service but thier turbo's put down numbers. For 3100 you get a t3-t4 turbonetics, tial wastegate, hks blowoff, steel braided oil lines, 2.5 inch down pipe, huge fmic, pipes, cuplings, cheap hose clamps, and some heat protection.. oh and a votec fmu, and 255lph walboro fuel pump plus a slight tune. I'm putting about 255 to the ground. with installation i paid 4100 and the parts are warrantied. I just got it installed 2 days ago so i havent updated my avi yet.
well... going turbo isn't cheap, so limited funds could quickly drag you down. Plus, in general, boosted hondas are for the person who dosn't mind constant tinkering and all of the other stuff that comes along with positive manifold pressure.
i would consider my homemade kit fairly trouble free... and on some days i just want to push my car off a cliff, but once i get over the hurdle and the car is running good again its very rewarding.

That is exactly how I feel.

I think what has kept me going is the fact that i think its a once in a lifetime thing for me right now. And b/c ive always wanted a homemade turbo type of project, and i'm young w/ no family, now is the best time. I probably won't have time to work on a turbo project when i have a family and all...
plus i see it as a hobby, and not the center of my life.... hobies are long... long ... low pressure, drawn out projects. enjoy it. you might as well enjoy the hard work put into collecting all that turbo ****... i don't care what kind of car you drive after you get rid of your ricey integra, your still gonna regret NOT BOOSTING it.

well i have a family and i just put a turbo on my 92 teg with a b16 swap it does take up alot of time and sometimes i think about burning it up but it is to much fun to drive when it is working right.
We never pull out.
I've been working on my car for almost 2 years now and I really don't know how much I have into it at this point. I don't really want to know, but it runs now and the last part is tuning.

well, i have been workin on a turbo kit for my car for the past 3 years. came almost to completion last year and just sold everything, didn't think it would be worth the extra money in the long run.
then a couple months ago, came across a greddy complete kit for a steal, picked it up, sold it again, thinkin of the maintanance in the long run.
couple weeks ago, decided to go for the gold, went all out on it, and put down 300 hp on a stock b16, am happy now that i decided to go with it. you hit boost and it just puts a big smile on your face sayin its worth it!

Too bad there aren't any cliffs in So. Fla. or else I would have probably done it.
I'm always doing something (or atleast trying) There should be a support group for some of us strugglers to cope with stress. hehehe
