Default nissan 240sx dash in a 92 civic hatchback

has it ever been done. i know you can put a 94 integra dash in an eg but can you put a 240sx dash in it. meaning will it fit with out a huge amount of custom fabrication?

.......................

Do it... find out the hard way.... Rather just spend that time getting a new job to buy a new car.

A couple months back there was a guy in the Appearance forum who was doing this.
He had multiple pictures etc. He got flamed all the way through his post from the normal H-T haters. I personally think its a cool idea, but probably much more work than its worth. Search around and maybe you'll find it.

Nice dash, but I don't see any way that is going to be possible. It is a nice idea though...

prob cheaper to buy the 240sx and drive it when you want a nicer dash

but not as cool - do it!

[its not my time & money]

I think he made a block-plate and retained the stock civic cluster, cause wiring is a nightmare.

Seriously pm me.

the 240sx is slightly wider which would result in needing to trim the dash i beleive. as for wiring - thats another issue- would need to retain the civic dash mounts- litter will let you know the most but i have read about multiple dash swaps - no fun - litter youll be a dash swapping pro when ur done lol

haha it would take a huge amount of fabrication and a very strong background in electrical to make it work right. lotsa luck with it.

waste of time money and effort IMO.

man, just get a beat up car, and have the 240 dash in all janky. then have xzibit pimp your ride at westcoast customs. they'll clean up the dash, but probably throw in a bunch of apc products

well if you guys do fabricate this start clickin' pictures and write down the wiring diagram, i guarantee you can sell the blueprints on ebay for a pretty penny, or keep it within us and we can show JDM noobs a thing or two... k i'm done
