parking lot painting day1.
after getting some heat for the flat black, ive started to paint my car. we did all the body work yesterday, filled a couple of spots and got the car primed yesterday. wet sanded the primer today, and took the gun to it. were lettin it dry until tomorrow afternoon or something, then were gunna wet sand it and paint again (bugs love wet paint...). im going to pick up a clear coat while im out tomorrow too...then just gotta do a finish up detail (clean up the overspray, and paint some peices back to black). in a few days im gunna paint the interior and door jambs. its not much to look at, but the finished product should look good.

unfortunatly, i dont have a garage, nor do any of my friends. its not as bad as it seems. washington has a great humidity to paint outside in, and since it doesnt get blistering hot OR cold, im not worried about the outcome. but, like i said, the bugs are pissing me off. wet sand and touch up tomorrow will take care of that.

im using a snap-on HVLP, gravity feed gun and an ingersoll rand gravity feed touch up gun. paint....its a local brand automotive paint, started off as an olive green but then had them darken it up a bit. and the compressor i dont really know because it is my neighbors.

Goodluck though.
quick update.....
paints done for the most part...a few...i mean alot of overspray (bad mistake letting your friend do the masking). theres a few spots that need touch up, and alot of weatherstripping that needs sanding. i cant seem to find a clear coat that will work with this paint. i called the place i got the paint from and they said they dont have a clear coat out yet.......so im going to try and match it up with something from a different company. anyways.....pictures tomorow.
