oilpan gayness
ok i had a 6qt morroso oil pan but it was leaking. i heard that they dont seal well so i bought an si pan. put a new gasket and it still leaks. this is ****** gay. can i put some hondabond or another type of sealer on it. i have a b20 block if it makes a difference
Copper spray is a sealant you can buy at Napa Auto parts. If you use honda bond let it sit for a few hours, it dries quick but you should be sure its dry first.
It could also be that you are over tightening the oil pan bolts. Those bolts are SUPER picky. If you under tighten them, the pan will leak. Over tighten them, and you'll get the same thing. You just gotta find the sweet spot for them.

1. just spray the copper on both sides of the gasket? then put it on? and can you use hondabond and copper? which is better?
2. do you have any torque specs?

COPPER????! WHAT?? Just use rtv with a new gasket... It wont leak. Torque it down to spec and make sure that you tighten the bolts in a criss- cross manner so that you dont warp one side of the oil pan. Copper is for ol' school muscle car head gaskets. Not the right stuff to use for this. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
