Because no one bothers to add a flex joint or brace the header to the block, I've ben running and anr header for 2 years with zero problems, same with 3 other friends of mine. Btw, your headers are nasty Danny

you are correct. we recently had to add instructions on how to install the header to each header we ship out. we have had exactly 6 mild steel units come back for cracks that we repaired at no charge due to error in installation. no stainless units have ever cracked.
considering we sell on average 4-5 headers a week, 6 is not bad for the 3 1/2 years and thousands of headers sold.

So putting a brace from the rear of the header to the block will eliminate the crackng issues.

correct. any header will vibrate itself to death without bracing especially in mild steel.
all the failures are mild steel units because mild steel will rust and eventually fail without some type of coating to protect it from the elements.
we just happen to sell more mild steel units because they're more affordable to most people.

No complaints on AN-R here. Ive had the Mild steel street. Then another Mild steel which my friend has on his car and i now have the merge header. always used a flex pipe. Not so much as a hairline crack in mine. AN-R Baby
