Default How to ADD weight to your CX

Take one stock cx - weight = 2100lbs

Add one rebuilt b18a w/ gsr tranny

A turbo kit

rear disks off an integra

power locks and windows

and a **** load of dynamat to quite down the walbro and 3in resonator and muffler

add a sway bar, some poly bushings, shocks, coilovers, somme del sol 14's and wahlaa

cruise control is on the way, have most of it in my basement. also have the optional rear speakers and the hatch cover. i always ride with the spare, cables, coolant and a quart or more of oil (turbo seals leave a nice "smoke screen").
Although this thing must be a pig, it just doesnt feel like it
the only weight reduction i have done is toss the ac. there just wasnt enough room. i bet it weighs over 2300lbs

so far my best et was 12.8 and best mph is 108 on 14psi. i am a little disappointed but it was on 22in slicks having to shift into fifth. i never dynoed it. should go a bit faster, time will tell
its my daily driver and low boost is about 9 psi. it makes a fun grocery getter, and can suprisingly haul a fair amount of ****. i just need to add some paint on it and i think it will look much better

questions, comments, flames??

Nice car, I like the way this thread was written...
But I think it should go into Appearance and/or General discussion.

And I'd put the stock steelies back on. Those black wheels are nasty.

what i put in was less than 20lbs. for the difference it makes it was well worth it. although i must admit, i got it for free or never would have done it.
if i can get more free, i would dynamat the whole car.

Definitely a good car. Get some new wheels and you'll be golden.
