Default WHAT A BAD DAY!!!!

well last week by ball joint startin clunkin everytime i would take off or brake really hard. so today i dcided to take a peek and saw i had a really loose ball jont nut and the cotter pin was missing. so i figured it would make it to autozone 2 miles away. i pay my god damn 29.95$ for the ball joint.

so i pull out of autozone back onto sunrise highway throw it into second gear and BANG! clunk clunk clunk clunk......POP!!!!!(passenger airbag )...clunk clunk clunk......so i pull over my friend is laughing the air bag didnt even hit him cuz he was sittin back in his seat and had a seat belt... im flippin out.

so i call my tow man he comes and takes it to the shop. we raised up the car. the nut of the ball joint fell out the control arm shot in between the spokes of my rim and broke 2 spokes out of my ls webs i need a new LCA and my axle ripped nd was spittin axle grease everywhere. and im gunna just get a jmd tray for that passenger air bag **** sux. PLEASE DONT BE A RETARD IF UR BALL JOINT IS ACTING UP GET IT FIXED AS SOOON AS IT MAKES NOISE. ahhhhh now tooo fix this dammmn thing i should have pics tommroow.

very noticable. wen u switch gears the car makes a clunk type of noise u feel it more than u hear it it could be either a loose ball joint or a shot ball joint. wen the engine transfers the power to the axles the car raises then lowers slighty and if its loose i really cant explain it its a pretty noticle sound also make sure to check those cotter pins my nuts fell off because some shady shop put in my clutch and probably forgot to put the cotter pin in. ********. a good way to check is to take off ur wheel and lift the rotor assembly up. if theres any play (if it moves up and down) where the ball joint is make sure u replace it

Does Autozone stock the ball joints or do u have to get them ordered, also are they easy to replace?

I also have to get new cotter pins, do I have to go to the dealer?

Does Acura or Autozone carry replacement bolts for stripped bolts for the tranny and such or are they a soecial order?

Sorry for the thread jack!!

its quite alright. there not toooo easy to replace ive done a couple theres a couple tutorials on this site that go through step by step the hardest part it breaking it free just a couple hits with a hammer id say its fairly easy. COTTER PINS! dont drive ur car a day more without cottor pins you will regret it like i did. they sell cottor pins anywhere home depot hardware stores ace anywhere. yeah i went to pep boys not autozone sorrry and yes they carried them in stock. i went to napa first and they were gunna order them for me so i said **** it they should have em in stock. for ur tranny i would go to the hardware store and try and find the right bolt just bing the bolt with u and try and find the right size.
