Default Broken temp gauge

Well over the pas few weeks I have noticed that my temp. gauge doesnt move all the time. Most of the time it is always all the way to the left on cold. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this??

My temp guage does the same thing...barely moves from the far left. I don't think there's anything wrong with it because today the weather was warmer, and I was in a lot of stop-and-go traffic, and my temp guage moved a lot farther from the far left.

I have a problem with mine too. If I hook up the wire to the motor the gauge goes up all the way so I have to unplug it. I know the gauge isnt bad because i tested it with another cluster. Maybe its broken.

If you thought you had a problem, my sisters G2 Integra does something weird.

Once I start the car and let the engine idle, the gauge needle adventually moves to its normal temperature as the engine gets warm. Once the car is in motion, the gauge needle slowly returns back to its resting postion to the left of the "C" mark. What could possible cause this ?

could be the cluster, to make sure it's correct, let engine run till it's at normal temps, turn off engine, release coolant pressure by taking a 10MM wrench and loosening up a pressure release bolt which is located where the upper hose is bolted to the block.....has a lil tiny hold on it...shouldn't be hard to find. once pressure released take off radiator cap and stick a thermostat or temp meter in there and it should be roughly 185° to 200°. You're ok if that's the temp, if not replace thermostat with a rate temperature between those temps. stock is 195 i believe for all operating temps. if that doesn't solve the problem.....your sending unit could be going out, check and replace if necessary......sending unit is located just underneath the distributor screwed into the block with a wire plugged on onto it
