Default Driving suit questions. Sparco S-Strech vs Fashion 5.

Has anyone tried the Sparco S-Strech suit that retails for $999?

I am in the market for all the safety gear I need. I was about ready to pick up AdamITR's Racer package for $735, but I was calling around for steering wheels and looked up UPR.com. They have the Sparco S-Strech which by the sales guys description is a "better fitting and much lighter suit then the fashion 5" and they can offer me that same package with pimpier gloves and the "nicer" suit for another $100. Apparently Sparco stopped selling these or something and they sold them all to UPR and they are blowing them out. Dunno if thats marketing crap or if it really happened.

Since I've gotten kickass advice on everything else relating to getting my rookie year started here, I figured I'd ask this too

Also, is there another comparable suit to those in the $550 pricerange? I looked at the G-Force 545(?) but elgorey said it was tight in the shoulders compared to the same sized Sparco stuff, and I'm a fatboy with big shoulders so I will need that room.

Thanks
-Tom

The GF545 may have been tight in the shoulders for elgorey but that is not something I have heard from anyone else. I wear a GF545 myself and I would say it is a little loose in the shoulders and arms. Of course, if elgorey is a body builder, it could be tight for him.
