Alright I have a 99 EX and I hate the chrome piece that finishes off the hood. So I was thinking of getting the 99 Si front to replace my current one. Well while doing a search on this site, I came across this site ( click here )

They have the Civic Si front for only 50$. Do ya'll think that it's the whole front or just the piece I want to replace?
Also, my sideskirts are the black plastic ones that I can't stand. Is it okay to get those painted, or would I be better off getting the Si Side skirts as well.

 

i think it is okay to paint the side skirts cause basically that is what a si side skirt is. a painted ex one. The only thing i would look for if i were you is the si grill.

your talkin about the 4 door ex with the chrome grill frame thing right? I'd just take it out and paint it if I were you... not that much to it... but the SI grills are MUCH nicer than EX ones. I HATE the EX grill...

 

yeh, but I have to two door... But I don't know why I have the chrome.. I always thought the 4 door came in chrome and coupe came colored.. Plus my coupe came with the Si wing as well...

 

the Si grill and lip would make a great addition to the front of your car...i remember seeing the 99 civic updated bodystyle, thinking no big deal...then i saw the Si...what a difference a mesh grill and subtle lip makes...

 

If you are thinking about painting your side skirts don't . I have seen many guys do this and it sucks . just get the si sides and repaint them , they are made of a heavier material that won't flex so much

 

That was what I was thinking. Did you look at the site I referenced at first.. Were they some decent prices?

the Grill was 77.89

The 99 Si side skirts were 134.45 a piece

I'm assuming they are so pricey because they come painted, but damn, that is crazy

I debated on trying the Red, since I have Roma Red (hatch) I decided just to go black. I need the Si Black grill...anyone selling?

I would ask the guy what he means by "front". I would guess he is talking about the front lip, not the grill.
I used to own a 96 EX Sedan and now I own a 2000 Si. I didn't realize the sideskirts on my Si were stronger. They seem to be the same, just painted.
