well some of you might have seen my other post about my d16 and possible rod knock.

i decided to play it safe and ill prob end up buying another d16 and building the bottom end for some nice boost, not too much but enough. around how much hp would i need to be puttin out to see mid 12s on slicks?

 

lol there are soo many factors that are involved with 1/4 mile times.

what chassis? weight of the chassis?
Elevation?
Driving Skills?
Suspension?
Condition of the motor?
Transmission type?
What size rim and slick?

 

Rough estimate? Around 200WHP. Probably more.

Elevation- not sure but most likely be sacramento raceway
Driving Skills- pretty good
Suspension- gc with agx's

Definately have to do a little weight reduction. Not sure how high sacramento is. You might wanna check out a LSD of some sort for the tranny. id prolly go 22x7.5 or 8 on the slicks on a 14 or 13 inch rim. look at around 200-230 whp to throw you into the 12's

 

yea well that was with full interior, i havent weighed it with the seats and other litle **** removed

 

i think full removing the interior will only reduce weight by 30-40 lbs.

 

yah it wont doo too much like jdm said prolly 30-40 pounds.. the plastic in there is like 3 pounds a piece

 

but im gonna be hmt my d16z6 in my cx hatch that has no tar or back seats.. the guy thats gonna be helping me do it says ill run 13's no prob....

not possible unless you're pushing 250+whp with that weight. the integra-R is 2600 at 200 and running only 14.6. maybe at 2000 you can make it with 210-250whp.

you will need 300-340 hp.
