Summary: Aritronix SR-i500
This alarm is amazing, it has everything anyone could ever want in an alarm. I just got mine installed today and its awesome. I got all the options on it (immobilizer, backup power, motion sensor, quick install harness).
The unit itself is really a quality piece, its all injection molded and it is totally waterproof. the wiring itself is customized to your bike so installation takes only about 10 minutes.
This thing is loud and sensitive. the alarm itself generates 125 db of sound and has mulitiple siren types. as with most other alarms the lights flash as well.
The sensors themselves can be extremely sensitive and are fully adjustable (1-5, 5 being the most sensitive). On five i can literally tap the tank with my index finger and the alarm will sound, and if the bike is tilted in any direction the alarm will sound too. There is also a motion sensor which uses microwaves or something to detect masses in motion. on the highest setting the alarm will sound if anything comes literally with in 3 feet of the thing.
One of the great things about this system is the adjustability. everything can be customized to your specifications like the type of page you get (vibe, ring, or both), to how sensitive the sensors are. it also has different modes so that you can activate just the tilt sensor or the tilt and motion sensor.
Lastly is the immobilizer which allow the owner to kill the bikes motor if it is within 1/2 mile, so if you see someone steal your bike you can actually hit a key and stop them in their tracks.
The only complaint i have about the unit is the remote, it only has 4 buttons on it which makes it more confusing when youre trying to program it but after awhile you get the hang of hit. Couple cool things about the remote apart from the paging and programming features, it also records when the alarm goes off and shows which alarm went off, it also displays which sensors are on, their sensitiving, the time, and it has a back light.
All in all i thing this is the best thing i have ever bought for my bike, and to anyone who is considering an alarm system this is definetly the one to get. And at 299 for the base unit or 400 for all the options it isnt too bad when compared to the cost of getting your bike stolen.
