I can fix that with a pack of Hubba Bubba, 2 rolls of aluminum foil and a 12 pack of Tecate.

How much power Was that motor making/taking?
We've done an RSX on completly Stock motor At about 405whp.
Been running For a good couple of months and this car is beat on hard.
Car is actually here getting a new Setup and GT35R, should make a good amount more power yet still on the Stock Motor. Everything Seems completly healthy with the motor.

Not to talk down or Bash anyone, but Alot of people have Claimed/Said stock rods are too weak In just about any motor Honda has ever made. Nowadays We are making More power on stock parts than some of the aftermarket parts can take.
I was making upwards of Close to 600whp on my stock H22, The bottom End out of that setup has no signs of any excess stress on the rods, pistons, cylinders, etc...
But Here and there you see people throwing rods on 300whp or much less at that.
We've done many more setups With stock motor power To rule out my motor being a fluke.
I think that It possibly comes down to Tuning, having an Efficient Setup and making it all work without putting shitloads of heat/stress in the motor at whatever power levels and whatever parts are in the motor.

tuning is the most important part of going FI. most people slap on a kit and wait a while to get it tuned and then BOOM it blows.

hey earl what is that block from. in the vin plate is says DC5, so is that a itr block

so do you think this was due to having too much power for the stock rods or was it due to detonation?
