You're not!

Read my thread: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1315461

Building a D-series is honestly the dumbest ******* idea i've ever heard. If you're going to build a motor, start with a better platform. The reason to go D is if you're on a budget (like myself). When you build a motor, you're throwing the budget part out the window.

Stock motor + Cheap Boost = D-series
Built All Motor or Built Boost motor = B or K series

im on a budget right now i got a 332 dollar tickett to pay off if im gonna save for a turbo kit i want to go all out with a peak boost or full race but for that money i can just swap in a b16 with ctr internals so im kinda stuck with the d15 right now so i guess im just gonna go with a nitrous kit along with the i h e and the neptune

save your money.....if you are getting tickets with your D series now...just think how many more tickets you will get with that extra 8.9 hp you get from wasting your money on a d series ALMOTA build up....

hahaha....i crack myself up

1st of all...what for? and 2nd, if you want higher compression, use pistons from the d16a6(i think..).
i'm at work right now but when i get home, i'll post a link to a d-series compression calculator.

If you're going to do anything to a d-series (and stay NA), buy used parts, or parts you can migrate to a b-series.

i got my sohc vtec zc for $125 messed up piston but replaced them with some used pistons around the garage and my car runs good. and if i boost it and blow it. wow im out bearly enough money to get 50 gallons of gas

i dono why people seem to think d series motors make no power

a d16 only makes like 30hp less then a b16... WOW.. HOLY **** THATS ALOT... a d16 with a lightened car would beat a stock b16 car...

d series handles turbos great.. boost it **** all motor.... ur d15 is kinda pointless to do anything with though
