Default Integra rear disk conversion on an 92-95 civic

Hey guys, I've been checking out some of the posts made about this conversion in the past and want to get some clarity on this swap.
*I've already searched!!!
I have access to a 90-93 integra 4-dr with I believe rear disk brakes.

I just have a few short questions to ask.

-If I get the DA rear disks and install them onto my civic coupe(94), will I be able to use my aftermarket civic LCA's????
-Is there a size difference between civic and integra rear disk setups? I'm guessing the integra rear brake setup will be a bit larger but want to check up.

I'll do a writeup on this swap if and when I do it so I'd appreciate the most help.
thanks

bart

*Good link for general info on this swap

Edit: Found my answer
When doing the DA Rear disk onto an EG...yes you can use the stock LCA's

You'll be able to use your aftermarket lca's and as far as the brake size, the intergra rotors are bigger, but i'm not sure how big.

Got a question

I heard there are different types and I know where I can get a civic 40/40 prop valve so would that work instead of the 90-93 integra prop valve???

Yep, you can use aftermarket and your stock lca's with the rear da set.
NO, theres no difference in rear disc sizes - they are all the same.

Dont feel obligated to do a writeup...there are several here and many others elsewhere. But dont let that stop you, if you want to do it

You should use the prop that best fits the chassis. A DC (94+) integra, Del Sol vtec, or civic abs prop would work best.

Thanks man
I'm a huge n00b to this brake conversion.

I know of a civic at the wreckers that is an Si(with rear disk) and it has it all intact. I would take the brakes off I can get the integra setup cheaper and in much better condition.

From what I read...the EG civics that came stock with rear disks had 40/40 prop valves. I don't think I can find a 90-93 integra RS so would the civic prop valve work? or will it complicate things?

Like I said, all rear disc setups (minus itr) are all the same. It doesnt matter whether they come from a em1 si, del sol vtec, civic abs, or integra da or dc...all are the same. And actually, the trailing arms are the same for ALL civics and ALL non-R integras (da has minor bushing size difference only) and ALL del sols...its the hubs that are different - disc or drum.
SO...if the place is charging more for the em1 setup, theyre ripping people off.
Get whatever is cheapest, because it doesnt matter.

He will need at least a 3040 because I have the stock 3030 with rear discs and the braking distance is still the same as the drums.

Can you explain why not? From the info I have read in the posts...supposedly it's needed.

So I can use my stock prop valve from my car that has drum brakes in the rear?

i know the eg si come with a 35/40 prop. valve.
you can get a NON ABS prop valve from and 90-93 or 94+ integra RS because the RS does not have abs. the 30/30 civic prop valve will work but ive read that the rear brakes tend to lock up quicker then the fronts do.

See here maybe the complication. I'm in Canada so the civics hatches that have D16z6 are Si, while in the US I believe they are called EX??

For me trying to get a 90-93 or 94+ Prop valve will be near impossible due to those cars being around here and not being crushed.

Edit: can somebody explain this proportioning valve setup and differences for me please? that's the only thing that confuses the **** out of me

oops i meant the si hatchs came with 30/40. here in the us, the d16z6 hatch is also called the si. the coupe that has the d16z6 is called the ex.

30/30 - 9.5" front / drum rear
30/35 - 9.5" front / larger drum rear
30/40 - 9.5 front / disc rear
40/40 - 10.25" front / disc rear
40/35 - 10.25" front / larger drum rear

If the prop valve of the si you found at the wrecker is a non-abs valve that says 30/40 then get that one since that is made for cars with 9.5 front rotor since im guessing you have a dx coupe.

just make sure to look at the valve and see if it has a total of 6 openings, meaning it is non abs which is the one you want.
