Default what kind of engine do i have?

recently bought a 93 accord ex. i went to get spark plugs and front brake pads at autozone and they want to know if i have nissin calipers or some other brand. that i can find out by simply looking at the calipers, but when i asked for the spark plugs, they had engine choices like F22A1 or F22A6? which one do i have? its a 93 accord ex 5speed. do i have to check with the VIN?

i believe the ex have the f22a6. the dx-lx have the f22a1 dont gert plugs from autozone unless they sell NGK ......ur car takes NGK ZFR5F11...if u can find them at import part store great otherwise get them at dealer..........

as for the brake pads look in the caliper,, name is imprinted there or the back of the old pads assuming they are honda pads and use honda pads as well they dont squeal as much

those sparkplugs are alright stealthman, I dont find a point in platinums on a 4 cyl. they are easy to get to, so longevity isnt really needed.

the more expensive ones are probably the platinums and the lower prcied ones are probably the regular ones.

If you change them yourself maybe not worth the difference. If you pay a mechanic to change your plug, maybe the platinum ones are worth it.

just get copper plugs. its really not worth it to get platinum. the 1.98 ones are all you need. and if you pay a mechanic to change spark plugs you need to get slapped.

If you have a stock engine you don't need ngk plugs unless you're going to fix it up. you might as well go with platinum if you're leaving your engine stock then you dont have to worry about them.
