Default Installing 6X9 speakers in Del Sols

I saw a guy with a 94 or 95 Del Sol that had 6x9's in the front doors and back pillars on the internet once.....

So, I went to a car stereo shop and they said it would be impossible to roll windows down.

And the back pillar once would be alot of "custom" work.

what do yall think about this ?

I just don't know if I wanna take up alot of room in my trunk ro spare tire spot for subwoofers.

Yes it would be a lot of work to put 6x9's in the front. I don't know about impossible, pretty much anything is possible with cars, but it all takes $$$ and/or lots of experience. The 6x9's in the rear shouldn't be too difficult. In fact, you could even buy a pre-made enclosure for it if you don't want to do the work yourself, but then you would need to do some work to the back deck to make it solid.

All that being said, you still will never get the bass out of them. Don't get me wrong, for "speakers," my 6x9 Pyramids put out awesome bass with my Rockford amp. Then I hooked up some kind of "weak" subs just for fun (one of my friends got them for cheap and he is in UT right now and I am the only one of my friends with an amp) and they sound waaaay better. Now hook up my amp to my interiors again, then get a better amp with better subs, and I would be lovin it.

Basically all I am saying is that hooking them up to the rears wouldn't be too hard if you are willing to put some work into it, the fronts would be very difficult, but you will still never get the bass like you would from subs.

I've got 12's and they pound harder. 10's are usually clearer. If you are going for space savings, then the 10's should still be good. And really really good quality. Trust me, you will notice a difference. I can't wait to give the one's that I have back to my friend and buy my own better ones when he gets back and my car is hibernating for the winter.
