Default for those who might remove the driver's seat: READ THIS!

i needed to remove the driver's seat for my mom to sew the bolster together that got unwoven.

it took me around 1 HOUR to remove this seat and i'll tell you why.
if you ever remove the driver's seat, the nut that is on the right in the rear has a loctite glue around the thread. be careful with it because I stripped mine completely and had to use a special pipe wrench to remove it.

No, no, no...get it right; THE ASSEMBLER at Acura in Japan got drunk on some 20 year old sake and thought it'd be funny to loctite a bolt on this car to "Upset American Man"...

Takes me 5 mins to take out both front seats with a good socket. Hummm, I bet if I could fit the airgun in their I could do it in less than 2.

my bolts were metric I believe, and the 12mm fit snug, i think i used TOO much force, and thats what caused the stripping.. or I have horrrible luck.

oh well, got the seats back in, looks good as new, but I had to goto canadian tire to get a new bolt that fit,

12mm is the right size. Thats weird that they were in that tight. Maybee they were removed by the privious owner, and when he/she reinstalled the bolts, that one was croosed threaded. This would cause it to strip out like that I beleive.

normally it would take me 5 mins per seat, i'd estimate. we were clowning around @ the track and my friend bet me $10 he could get his seats out quicker than me, that's how that happened. With a whole $10 at stake, you tend to work faster, lol.

I hear you. I just see some understatement of time here and there. Like some people would say it will take 15 minutes to install the Icebox. I am not a moron or anything but it took me much longer than 15 minutes. The second time around, I will probably cut the time in half.
