Seriously folks... George is the one that pretty much set up this event with the honda-tech people and made the discounts available to the honda-tech kids (with help from Jon, im sure) It would be a shame if he was one of the ones that had to sit out this event because of a lack of instructors. Someone - step forward!!

Good call, ceas!

Folks like George (as well as helpers/workers like Mike P, xjohnx, urbanlegend21, cobra, and so on) were promised some discounted-$$$ track sessions in exchange for their help. This is usually easy to arrange, because usually there is often a surplus of instructors.

However, in this case, instructors have been very hard to find (for whatever reason). That unfortunately means the helpers/workers are the first ones to get "cut" from the possibility of in-car instruction.

It doesn't mean they can't go on-track, because they are still welcome to go out in a "lead-follow" scenario with another car (a full-paying driver with an in-car instructor). And they are welcome to get in-car instructors as soon as people start getting signed off (usually intermediate group and/or second day).

But who does it hurt? The volunteers, of course, because they don't get to play quite as effectively. And that means they might not come back to help out next time... which, in turn, hurts my abilities as the guy putting these events together.

As I've said dozens of times this week:

"Welcome to my private hell."

From the bottom of my heart, I'm sorry I can't do better. I've tried everything I can think of to get more instructors, and I doubt I will sleep until the list is full.

Thanks for your understanding,

Jon Felton

Why not move a select few to advanced with an instructor, but space them out as needed. Trying to help.

Hey Jon,

Thank you for the nice M-powered cars that you have me instructing for. Good choices!

Karl and Dave, I *promise* you an instructor or 100% refund plus travel expenses out of my own pocket. Just PLEASE trust me on this one.

Hell, I'll get in the car with you guys if the person I'm waiting for confirmation from can't make it. I'm not bad, I promise... ask MaddMatt, another instructor, I was only .11 seconds slower than him in his own car at the last time trial...

PLEASE, someone volunteer to instruct George. I don't want him out on the track behind me, unrestrained.

I must be the Spec ITR instructor. This'll be my 5th and 6th ITR student in the past year.

You must know how much I like those cars and how much it depresses me to know that despite the money in my Sentra, a stock ITR on street tires is still faster
