96-99 rear bumper fit 00 si???
Im in desperate need of a rear bumper for my 2000 civic si. I saw an ad in the recycler for a 96-99 rear bumper priced for $75. I want to know if this bumper is idenitical to that year. If so , I will def buy today.
Note: this is the bumper shell im speaking about.

The mounting points are the same, but the 96-98 bumpers have a different shape at the bottom (not drastically different, like an indent difference). So yes both will fit, but the 99-00 is the same piece as your Si.

The difference is subtle. The 96-98 is rounder at the bottom while the 99-00 has that kind of edge on it.
These pics are from the EJ8 squad...let me know if I should remove them.

The Si bumper is the same as the 99-00 bumper. The Si's just came with paint matched sideskirts, front lip, and different grill insert. Front and rear bumpers are the same.

They are not the same, BUT <u>all</u> '96-2000 Civic sedan/coupe rear bumpers are interchangeable.

This is correct. The only difference is the lip at the bottom.
