I found an integra at the junk yard motor runs great i dont know what year it is but i believe its in the 80's it has a 1.6 dohc will this motor bolt up to my 88 crx dx? or do i need motor mounts and **** ?and what is the diffrence between a 1.6 dohc and a zc motor whats zc?
its probably a d16a1 which is almost exactly the same as a jdm dohc zc. there are a couple types of ZC. There's the JDM dohc zc, the sohc vtec zc and the d16a1. the brown top zc (probably what you saw) should be stamped d16a1, but people still call it ZC. IMO the only good one is the single cam ZC. I believe the jdm ZCs are pretty much a drop in but not the brown top. You are better off getting something else.
Screw you guys, I'm... going... home.

Hint---> search for "D16A1" and you will find all the answers to your questions. They are... no it won't bolt into an 88+ civic/crx without a ton of work and/or money. It's not worth the amount of time and effort it takes since a D16Z6 or D16Y8 make more power and bolt in a lot easier. The D16A1 really only swaps easily into an 84-87 Civic/CRX, so I'm sure the guys at http://www.redpepperracing.com wouldn't mind if you made them aware of your junkyard find.
Thanks
