Default Exhaust not loud..y?

I have a ls/vtec setup on my car right now, I have a bobo intake with greddy header and apexi ws exhaust...when I went to the exhaust shop to have the pipings connected properly, they had to cut two parts of the pipes to make it fit right.

Long story short, my exhaust is not loud, or louder...knowing the fact that this is an allmotor beast, it should be pretty loud.

Thanx.

Oh ok.......so maybe it's normal..my engine is loud, you can hear the timing belt or belts move, maybe because it is new and needs to break it in?

So hopefully, after 500 mies, I can hear the exhaust pretty good when it is in full throttle...guess it's good to have a good exhaust eh?

dont drive around untuned in your "all-motor beast" get that damn thing on the dyno before you wreck something!! search the SN "earl" and read his thread on properly breaking in an engine.

yeah i recommend getting a wideband w/ gauge on the thing now. But at the very least get it broken in and get it on a dyno where you can tune it (at the very least 2 a safe level)

Also listen for detonation and if your getting it dont drive like that.

ps. next post is # 1000 4 me!

Yeah, I dunt drive it much, only to get the exhaust put on, and after that. I ain't gonna drive it until I get the P28 chipped.

Thanx for the advice.

Loud = Lame.
Power is more important than noise (at least to some of us).

Yeah, I don't want to be loud, quiet until full throttle. I just thought that it would be louder than I expected.

try finding another cat maybe from a junkyard and hollow it out and see how you like the sound.
