Default Need silent muffler that looks good !!!!

Well, I have got 2 tickets for my muffler being to loud !
I wanna get rid of it for something quieter and looks good too !
If I add a resonator, will it quiet down my muffler ?

Which one to get ?

HKS Sport ?

To be honest, i suggest the dynomax super-turbo muffler. I have it on my car and its got a mean grunt, When vtec hits its mean as hell. If u dont want a chambered muffler, Get a magnaflow oval muffler with like a 22 inch resonator from kteller.

Edit: oh wait u already have a magnaflow, whats your current setup??

i have a magnaflow 40 series with 2.5 inch mandrel piping, cat, and 17 inch glass pack resonator... the sounds tolerable at low RPMs and when vtec hits it really screams... its on a 1989 dx hatchy with B16a and DC header and comp stage two cams

Get the RS*R ex-mag exhuast system. it's gotten plenty of good reviews and it's said to be nice and quiet.

RSR's are really quiet. almost stock on idle and at partial throttle, but it rips when you hit vtec.

+1 on the dynomax super-turbo. I am running one on my ZC with 2.5 inch piping. It is as quiet as a church mouse at idle with a nice throaty tone and except for a little heat shield rattle it sounds great throughout the rpm range.

My magnaflow on my car w/ a 18" resonator + carsoun cat is still loud. Try getting the Dynomax Super Turbo muffler w/ a good resonator on it.

I've heard nothing but good things about that setup. Also the RS*R is a good setup, as well as the ES ovals. I've heard a straight pipe to ES oval muffler. It sounds alright, its not too loud but it has a nice tone.

I have a Tanabe Hyper Medalian on my CRX and it's not loud at all. I have a Apex-i header and a test pipe too. It's got a nice deep mellow sound and isn't raspy. one of these days i'll get a vid of it

you know, in a CRX, you BARELY see the muffler. I mean really. I wouldnt want to see my muffler. Ide like it have it tucked under as far as possible, only thing I would be worried about is the tip.

Well, since that's my car in the first pic, I'm gonna have to say HKS Sport. As I mentioned in a previous thread, I went from a DC Sports to the HKS and I don't think I'd ever own anything else. I liked the DC but over time I grew to hate it. That annoying drone at constant speeds. The HKS has the exact same diameter pipe from the cat to the muffler as the DC had. I saw NO performance loss (or gain for that matter) by putting on the HKS. It is silent - and I love it for that. I also get asked when I'm going to put an exhaust on my car by people all the time.
