hi. i have a 93 lude h23 non vtec and im going to see a shop for info on swapping the type s h22 or jspec h22 in my lude. what questions should i have ready to ask about the car because i know since the car is non vtec now theirs gonna have to be some electrical work too? besides the blue valve cover how else can i tell they are selling me a true jdm h22?

 

The block will be stamped with H22A or H22A4 which is a true jdm motor as opposed to H22A1 or H22 which is usdm and the oil cap will probably say HUILE on it.

 

A and A7 are jdm a1 and a4 are usdm

H22A7 is an european only accord type-r 212 HP, so not JDM

H22A8 is an european / JDM prelude type-s 220 HP

you are coorect.. typo on my part and left out the a8
