So my idiocy got the better of me. I bought tires that are a little to wide with the offset my rims have. They are rubbing in the rear on the outside of the wheel and the fender whenever cornering hard or over large bumbs or dips.
how to solve this other then getting new tires??? I thought of getting those rubbing things you stick between the coils of your springs......any other thoughts?
thanks.

You could machine part of the hub off to increase the offset. Although, I don't know what that would do to the structural integrity of th wheel.

Ya, i had thought about that (cause i fell in love with my 20 yr old 13" rims) but there is not enough meat left. I went with my original idea and just put those rubber inserts in the springs to stiffen them up and give them a bit of life. It seems to work, hopefully it won't **** something else up
thankyou all for your help, I can post a pic of what it looks like if you wish......

What model car is it? Any way to increase the negative camber with camber plates or something? Also, I think those Sumis come in 185/60-13 and 195/60-13 don't they? You could always buy two more slightly narrower tires for the back and keep the 205s as a second pair of tires for the front. Staggered tires, it's JDM yO!

Not a bad idea, might look a little funny but if you knew what my car looked liked you would probably know that funny looking doesn't bug me too much.
