Nice job, and a great start for photoshop! The first picture is the most successful to me, because it's a nice picture, and you both added drama to the image and brought out a distinguishing feature (the red valve covers) at the same time.

 

What version of photoshop are you using? Nice going with your first attempts...I'm a self-taught guy myself. I think Photoshop is the best image editing software program out there and I love it to death.
