You will get 02 error codes. It will probably throw the car into limp mode, and will decrease your performance. Also, you will never pass emissions with a straight pipe, and it's a federal crime to remove emissions equipment. You'll only gain 1 or 2hp (if you do a bung or 02 simulator); it's just not worth it.

I'm not even sure what you mean by this... but no, your speedometer is run by the VSS on the transmission.

Yes, if you install a test pipe (straight thru cat) you will get louder and more of a raspy growl to your exhaust. I like the way mine sounds.. Skunk2 MP cat-back & Invidia TP. I love it. of course mine is on a 92 DX (OBD1). I didnt get any error codes. You may want to disconnect your batt cables to reset the ECU feul map, tho.

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1171263

P0135 Primary Heated Oxygen Sensor (Primary HO2S) (Sensor 1) Heater Circuit Malfunction

P0141 Secondary Heated Oxygen Sensor (Secondary HO2S) (Sensor 2) Heater Circuit Malfunction

P0500 Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) Circuit Malfunction

P1298 Electric Load Detector (ELD) Circuit High Voltage

In the future, you might get better responses if you post the problem, and what the codes are. From the looks of it, I'd check some fuses. I don't know what circuit the VSS and 02 heaters are on, but they could be on the same one, and with the high voltage detected, it could be related.

I'd put the new cat on, hook up your secondary 02 sensor, and reset the ECU (pull both the neg and pos leads from the battery, and touch them together - make absolutely sure you don't do this while they are connected to the battery). Then see what codes you get.

If you're still getting the third code, you'll need to look into your VSS, which is why I'm guessing you asked about the speedo. If your VSS isn't working, your speedo won't work either.

I'm not sure about the 4th code, I haven't seen that one before on any car I've worked on, but I'd start with the cat, then the VSS and go from there.

I doubt that the secondary O2 sensor reading a cat not functioning properly will put a car into limp mode.

As a matter of fact, I'm almost positive it wont.

Yes, you're right, if it was reading the cat not functioning properly, it wouldn't throw the car into limp mode. Not having a secondary 02 hooked up at all with a straight pipe could, since the ECU would not be getting any reading at all.

so you mean to tell me that the ERROR that my car has, has a lot to do with the 02 #1 and 02 #2? or its because of the car having a straight pipe?
