Default valve cover bolt stripped

one of the 4(or 5?) bolts that hold on my valve cover is stripped. it turns in both directions but wont tighten or loosen. its the lower left one. whats it called?(so i can get a replacement from honda) also whats the stuf that it goes onto called?. and, how do i take it out.?

**** dude.. u sure its the bolt and not the valve cover? if its just the bolt, i'm sure you can order one from honda.. or even autozone or something.

Situation A:::
You stripped the threads and need to re-tap them.

Situation B::


It's called a valve cover bolt, just tell the honda parts counter person u need that.

Best way to remove it would probably be to just remove the valve cover and go from there. If the bolt is stickin out from the head then go ahead and just get some pliers to back the bolt out. If the bolt was broken flush with the head, meaning threads of the bolt is not sticking out, then you need to to either

A- Drill it out, re-tap the threads
B- Drill small hole into the bolt itself and use an extractor (from homedepot or similar place) to take it out.

Its easy job really..


And no, as liquid ice mentioned it cannot be the valve cover. If the bolt head is spinning
