Default LS block, B16 Pistons and b20 rods.. OMG FRANKENSTEIN!!!

Anyways this might sounds stupid but i have all these parts laying around, i was wondering if it would actually work for just a running motor..

I believe the B20 rods are the same as the LS. If you were to put everything together you'd have a stock LS bottom end with B16 pistons. Nothing special. It would be a higher than stock compression motor. But not much.

Thanks, thats what im trying to do is just put the motor together..not looking for a race motor....

anybody else know if the b20 rods are the same as LS b18 rods???

theyre probably the same...both motors have the same stroke..but the wrist pin might be at different heights...i dont know..

ls rods are the same as b20 rods, cranks are the same, only difference is the blocks. the b20 is the same stroke, just with an 84mm bore and a weaker 1piece cast in sleve

thats what i thought, if i got these rods shop pinned i should be good to go right??
