Default which valve springs?

Just picked up a set of ctr cams and it came with crower valve springs (NOT the hi-pressure ones). All are brand new... cams and valve springs. But I'm wondering if the valve springs may be too stiff for the cams and wear them out. I don't understand the specs of the valve springs on the http://www.crower.com website... can somebody help out? I know the seat pressure of the type r's are 50 lbs and open pressure is 150 lbs @ 11.5mm

Here's the link: http://www.crower.com/cat/impo...shtml

It's the 68185-16 part number. I would prefer using the itr valvetrain but I already have these valve springs just sitting here.... Thanks for any help

HAhaha....

Unless you've seriously overrev'd your motor in the past.... I'd just drop the cams in and call it good

If you are lookin for a replacement, OEM ITR is just perfect....

Thanks for the info guys. But like I said, the only reason I'm considering the crower springs is because they are sitting here in my garage.

Why? Their larger cams still make power that high, why not build springs that can handle it?

I vote that if you don't know what you are talking about, you don't post.
