Other than the obvious body styling. Are teh suspensions teh same? Weight differences? Brakes, etc? I'm a EF guru, and I want my next project to be an EG but I"m having a hard time deciding on a hatch or coupe. I appreciate you guys' help!

The hatches are lighter, and certain years got discs in the rear. The ex had the d16z6, but I am not sure about the si hatch.

Both have the Z6

Si's came with rear disc

Coupes came with rear disc as optional.

Other than that I think they are identical

Pretty much the same other than engine sizes in certain years. your suspensions and engines that you can buy for them are all going to fit the same whether its a hatch or a coupe.

ok, so the hatch is lighter, and doesnt have power anything?

the EX coupe has power windows and locks and is a lil heavier? I'm not so worried about not beating people in a race with it. I want to make it a fast daily driver. I have my crx to beat *** with. I would also like the all wheel disc brakes like in my CRX. Which models/years had that?

I knew they both came with the Z6, just forgot to mention that...thast teh reason for the decision btwn teh two. Plus I think they both look so damn good. I wish I could afford one of each.

Well, I always buy 3 way speakers to replace the factory ones anyways, so tweeters arent a BIG deal to me.

Does teh hatch have any leaking problems over teh coupe? My CRX hatch meaks and it also leaks around the tail lights....does the hatch have any problems like this?

Right now, I think I'm leaning towarsd teh Si hatch. Do they all come with all disc brakes? Does it have power anything?

yep I have a 93 Si with no pl or pw or AC ( I am lucky) I only have power mirrors and power sunroof. I have 4 disc brakes and no problem with leaking. Also I believe the Si had sway bars not sure about this one thought.

and the 94 -95 SI beside the fact that they came with rear disk it also came equipped with ABS my 94 si came with it. yeah its heavier then most but it was total worth it. and mine did have power dl and power windows with the ex tweeter but then again i did do the whole door conversion on mine.

****, so teh EX coupe doors are teh same size as the hatch doors? Intersting.

anybody have some supporting info about that suspension difference stated above?

So, only 94-95 Si has ABS? They all (92-95)have power mirrors and sunroof?

Does one have a problem with oversteer more than the other?

yup you can use either the whole ex door like i did or just use all the inside to do the conversion it all is the same..

and yes only 94-95 civic si came with abs 92-93 si did not
and i i'm pretty sure that all of 92-95 si did come with power mirrors and sunroof.

Im also considering buying either a hatch or a coupe. Problem is in my area, coupes are way more abundant than hatches. Are coupes a really bad buy compared to a hatch when wanting to make a fast car?

My 94 EX has: ABS (so it has disc brakes in the rear and Integra sized brakes in the front), power windows, power locks, a power sunroof, and power mirrors.
