Hello all,
I am trying to determine the best way to redo the tie rod setup we have on the Del Sol. The current passenger side arm is frozen and we cannot adjust the toe setting. The total arm length is about 14.5" and I would like to be able to make adjustments without having to remove the arm. One end is a vertical heim joint, the other is a horizontal ball joint. Thanks for the ideas.

Grind off the bj mount on the upright and weld on a sideways-facing double shear clevis. Use tube steel with big (> 1/2") rod ends on both sides. Now you have two sphecial mounts to go over the bolts which are in the stock location. Thread the tube axially to change length/toe and use jam nuts just like the stock piece.
Or you could buy another tie-rod that isn't frozen.
