Default turbo ?

i have a 98 ex coupe with stock d16y8 and im lookin to turbo it, but in texas ya need and ac...so im wonderin what is it that makes the difference between a kit that can support ac and a kit that cant? is it just the manifold?

Yeah, mostly the manifold and where it places the actual turbo, the charge pipes, and the wastegate and dumptube. There's not a whole lot of room in there...

A good welder can plumb around your AC and PS. So if that is your only problem, get a good welder to do your piping.

Yeah, I live in Maryland and I can't imagine running without my AC. I was looking at where I was going to have to route things and what not for my turbo install, and it's starting to look like my AC is going to have to come out unless I can come up with some super-routing plan to get around it all. Not to mention my inducer is to the left of the car and not the right.

i started piecing together my own turbo kit, and with a greddy manifold, a garrett t3 is way too big for a/c compatability...oh well..now i have turbo parts i cant use...

Its not that hot here in MD, just wind down your windows or get an everyday driver that has AC..

I don't know man, I can't go anywhere without AC. I sweat when its nice out, a little warm weather and I'm dieing. Even my girlfriend thinks its too hot in my car, and she's a little 95lbs'er that is always cold.

Get a beater to drive around when its hot.. Thats what I do, and then after the sun goes down the toys come out..

Do you live near MIR?
