q: i have some arospeed 17's rs gt and the have scratches on them on both the rim and the lip and i was wondering if i can just spray directly into the rim without stripping or sanding or anything. i want to repaint gunmetal how effective is this method?

 

i used duplicolor wheel paint when i painted my wheels.

-Take wheels off the car
-Clean wheel
-Use scuffpad/sandpaper
-Wipe dirt with tackcloth
-Mask tire (I used index cards in between the tire and rim)
-Primer with 2-3 coats
-Spray 5-8 coats of wheel paint

do it the right way or dont do it at all, but if u want chips/defects in the future than thats ur choice
