Default I bought my first bike. 1988 Honda Hawk GT (NT650).

If these types of threads are frowned upon, I appologize (if so, please lock/delete). I'm just excited, and thought I'd share.

Like the title says, it's a 1988 Honda Hawk GT NT650.

It's a mint condition, two owner bike, with a little over 20,000 miles.

I think I got a great deal on it. Similar one's on ebay are selling for $1700 and up, I got mine for $1,250

I don't have any pictures of it yet, but it looks identicle to this one:

Looks like a fun, comfortable bike. '88 seems to be a really good year for Honda quality, too.

the hawk is a great bike. I used to have one back in the day, it handle like a dream because of the weight and the way it is distributed. lite on power but life begins in the corners anyway. consider yourself lucky to have one of these, there are a tad rare to get hold of. the aluminum frame and swing arm were ahead of its time during an era when many sport bikes were still built with steel frames. you'll have fun on this thing

Thanks for the responses everyone.

I'm more than pleased with it so far, and I don't plan on selling it anytime soon

Awesome bike!

That would be a sweet bike to take a test on, but like everyone else here, if this is the first motorized two wheeled vehicle you have owned, take the MSF.

Isn't it free in PA?

i cant get to the thread from work (fookin websense) but when i get home i will post his project thread. it has a bunch of other peoples hawks in it too, as well as a ton of hawk info.

he is now looking for a duc wheel to replace the VFR wheel, looks like he will have to change his hub/spindle yet again lol

Thanks for the link, there's a lot of good info (and pics) there.

Hard to believe that this is a Hawk,

Maybe one day I'll have mine looking like that
