My GF's Blue '05 R6
Just thought I would post up a pic of my girlfriend's blue 2005 R6. Even though it's still a work in progress in terms of mods (CRG levers and seat cowl are on the way while a titanium full exhaust, Power Commander, 520 kit, and rear sets are next on the list), I think it's visually one of the hottest street ridden R6's around Los Angeles. Trust me, this pic doesn't do it ANY justice. I'm going to try to capture the TRUE color of the wheels as soon as I get my Canon 20D. The rims are a 2 coat fluorescent orange (white base which gives it a a VERY BRIGHT glow) and the shadow overlay kit is from Tapeworks. She wanted to go for a GP look and I think she hit it on the mark. I swear, seeing this bike take laps at the track gave me flashback of last month's USGP! (minus the insane speeds and Rossi, of course)
I'm sure the color combo won't be everyone's flavor, but tell us what you think. Thanks!
BTW: For some of you who might ask why this pretty bike doesn't have frame sliders yet. Well, she's still trying to figure out which ones to get. Her previous R6 (2003) was totaled after a crash at the track last year. If it weren't for the frame slider bolt bending and cracking the cylinder head, the bike would have been an EASY fix. Instead, it was trashed. She definately doesn't want a repeat of that, so she's doing her homework.

My friend totaled his 2005 Raven R6 because of this. He was using Shogun frame sliders.
Should have told her to get a Honda Repsol. Pretty crazy how your girl rides.

yeah
yeah
Man those are BRRIIGGHHTT wheels....I kinda like them though, however they attract a bit too much attention for my liking, if i was gonna be stunting all day or something id be all over them but when your riding twisties way to fast, and you glow in the dark cops find you easier....heh....looks great though!!
I'm not usually into paint scheme bikes but this one is tasteful. The stock end can doesn't do it justice. Keep us posted. Wish the blue was dark blue tho.

Thanks guys. I'll pass on the compliments. Here's a pic of her on the bike at last weekend's trackday

She couldn't shake off the demons that most people have after crashing (especially for the first time). Since the down time was soooooooo long (over one year since she wrecked the bike at the track), I think it's even harder to get back in the groove. She seemed 20 times more nervous than her first track day. I would say another track day or two and she'll get the feel again.
BTW: For those pervs who want to see her w/o the gear.... I'm working on getting the OK.
