94+ LS Transmission disassembly
Hey guys, i just pulled my b18b out of my 95 LS and started pulling apart the tranny. I got the clutch arm out and all that jazz. What im wondering about is, what i think is called, the transfer case (the back of the tranny with all the gears and fun stuff in it). I started pulling it apart and it seems as though its hung up on something. I double and triple checked EVERYTHING and there shouldnt be anything holding it up so im wondering if the thing is just stubborn and needs a good hit or two with a BFH or what. if anyones had any experience with this please help!
when i tried to change my clutch in my integra, it was ghey so i put everything back together and sold it. but i was having trouble with my cv's wanting to come out, do you have a manual that you are using as a source?
yea im using hanes but they dont have anything about the transfer case.
I was lucky enough to have my passenger side driveaxle break before i pulled the motor. so i just cut the inner boot and pulled the bastard out. (the drivers side is alot easier. just pull out the intermediate shaft, its a little further in and theres a metal bracket for it with three bolts) but once i pulled the tranny i still had the driveshaft hub from the passenger side in it so i pried it out with a crowbar. it popped off really easily, its all about getting the right pressure in the right place. you could probably use a balljoint splitter and hit it from the top of the engine compartment.
Anyways im rambling, anyone know anything about this damn transfer case?
