Default peak power RPM

i was wondering what would be the better engine for autocross if they were both in the same car. 1) would it be better to have an engine that makes less power say 20 less hp that stops making power at 6300 RPM(z6). or 2) an engine that make more power say 20 more hp than option 1 but makes power at a higher RPM like 7600(b18b).

i'm guessing the answer will be that seat time is what is needed.

seat time foo! lol

I don't know about the z6, but my b18b only revs to 6700, and stops gaining much power past 6000 for sure. Also, the reason you keep hearing about seat time is that this sport really is about a technical series of seemingly random turns, not an acceleration contest. It's fun, damnit!
