It should be a nice 1.8 set-up, just make sure you have the right octane gas to run that set-up since those PCT pistons will give you a considerable bump in compression.

well obiously u didnt look hard enough, cuz the is a thousand threads on h-t bout ls/vtec's. Urs seems like a basic set up, i think u need to add some things like:

ITR oil pump
ARP head studs
ARP rod bolts
U should have the crank balanced and micropolished(If u have the $$)

Because if built "properly", a ls/vtec can be one strong *** motor. I have seen plenty of ls/vtec's hit over 215whp. I dont see many gsr's or itr's producing that much power......

it all depends on $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ that's what makes it happen.also a jdm itr motor is 200 hp so it wouud take much to make it over 200whp but that's another story that i'm not going to get in to

Nice, to see a local guy building a monster, but back on topic you don't need to rev m22 cams to 9500 that is over kill. Also I wouldn't risk my motor revving to that high of an rpm with stock ls rods even if you have the arp rod bolts. If you have to second guess yourself its not worth the risk............
Yes it has worked for some people but it usually won't last very long.

If you dont need to rev that high up, dont. All it is doing is adding more ware (sp?) and tear to your valvetrain and rotating assembly. And do you have plans to port your head?
