Default Help - 89 Integra LS automatic

Did a search and found nothing helpful.

The 89 integra LS 4 speed auto tranny slips from 2 to 3. A friend has a 91 teg auto tranny just sitting around and i am wondering it it will fit onto the 89 LS. If not, what other tranny will fit the 89 LS integra?

THANKS

Hey whats up

First ya goona get flamed,

But I'm here to help, go to G1teg.org and ask there,

But if you wanna know

No it wont fit,

The Engines in the 1st gen integras are D16's (D16A1)
I own an 87 integra ls (5speed)
I also own a 90 integra rs

The engines in the 91 integra you speak of (2nd gen integra)
are a, B series engine,

You can not put a B series tranny to a D series block

Hope I helped,

Thanks, Later

Why would he get flamed? it's a legitimate question. Some of us like our autos and/or can't really afford to swap out, or trade cars.

Thanks for the reply and info! Yes you helped I know nothing about the older generations Teg but I do know about a few things about the ITR or the AP2 since I have both.

I was just helping a friend "A" out hoping to save some $$$. Friend "A" has a slipping 89 Teg LS tranny and friend "B" has a 91 teg tranny who's willing to let go for cheap. From what I know now B tranny won't fit to D block so I guess he will have to find a D tranny.

Thanks
