Default Head Removal & Unknown Sensors

I am in the last leg of removing the head off of my D15B7. While removing the dizzy I noticed two sensors and don't know how to go about removing them so I can take the head off. Here is my half *** diagram of what it looks like (camera is out of order).

They have a fitting near the head itself (orange in diagram) that you can turn and I guess take it off, but is this how you do it and are there any percautions(sp) to take?

Also how do I get my head off the block if I don't have a pry bar? If I have to use a pry bar, where do I pry?

sensor #1 im pretty sure is the temp sensor and if its a small sensor u can grab the wire and tug on it should come off and the gray one should still be a plug just find the push tab and pull, to remove head can try and lift it

the single wire one should be an oil sensor or something, you just tug is off but be careful not to rip the wire off the connector. the other is a tw sensor and you just find the little clip and press and pull

Oops sorry, I removed the sensor. Now I just can't get the head off the block by pulling it.

make sure u have all the headstuds off and did you undo them in the right order? starting from the middle and work your way out? Once you remove all the headstuds, the head should come right off if not, just a rubber mallet and tap the head a few times.

yeah, you would need a pry bar or a big enough flathead screwdriver. there should be a couple of spots to pry it in the front. try looking toward the front corners of the head. good luck.

no really. i just did a headgasket a couple of weeks ago and i had to pry the head off. i tried tapping it pretty hard and that didn't work. when you pry it, just try to pry with an up and down motion (instead of a twisting motion) if you want to be extra careful of not damaging the head or block. also, when trying to find a spot to rest the prybar/screwdriver for leverage, just make sure you rest it on something solid (avoid resting it on the radiator, condenser, any sensors, etc.)
