http://www.jacksonracing.com has dyno charts of various motors with their blowers on them. I think you will be underwhelmed at the gains you get for the dollars you spend.

what about a ls with a type r supercharger? i have a type r supercharger i got for cheap and i might be getting a hatch with a ls swap... so just til i build my k24 i figured maybe i can just put taht in there for beating around...

actually its been done before where there has been a gs-r/type r charger on a ls motor... so i dont see the problem

 

if ur going to put forced induction, on the ls motor "if" u get it u might as well just build it then buying the k24.

 

why should i build it when a stock k24 block with a k20 head makes more power then most built ls/vtec's? makes no sense to me... and its gonna be a built k24 so im not worried bout it... but back to topic... ls with gs-r/type r supercharger? anybody have any input on it?

 

yeah, i was dissapointed in my friends car, he had a ls and put a JR supercharger on his because he hadnt seen anyone with one down here and wanted to do it to be different which i understood, but his powergain was depressing, i think he gained about a little over 40hp. did you say you already had a supercharger? if you do then go ahead and put it on there, but if you have to buy it then dont, just turbocharge it

 

yea its in my garage... i heard it being depressing if u go with the ls jrsc... but i hear the gs-r/type r supercharger on the ls beef things up a lil

 

A type R SHOULD go on....not positive. I know the Type R's are interchangeable with the B16 SC's. You may want to call Jackson and find out.


How the hell did the GSR charger work on a B18B head? I was under the impression that GSR's have a funky intake port design?

 

i've seen it done... but anyone on here have an experience with it?
