Are you looking to buy it?
Do you have any pictures? That would be a much easier way of finding out if anyone here owns it. The number thing is a long shot

Where is this car located? I'm asking because I looked at a PY one nearby last week and was um, well, not impressed.

Probably the same one... in winston salem..

Car needs a little TLC but runs fine.. He's making little to nothing off of the car and it's the cheapest i've seen yet so i'm fine about it.. picking it up today.
I figure my boyfriend does bodywork and I do the mechanics... it's no problem for us (it just needs a valve cover gasket at least where its leaking the oil is clean hah) the rest of the car is fine other than the clearcoat on the cf hood and the spiderwebbing in the paint on the front bumper.

That thing is a piece of crap. Excuse my language, but I'd hate to see anyone spend good money on something other than what they're looking for. Almost nothing is original on that car. Some things I noticed:

-Block code is factory stamped "B18C", with a "5" engraved on the end of it.
-It appears to be losing a lot of oil.
-Front corners have cross-drilled rotors, while the rears have slotted.
-Lowering springs.
-Smoke.
-Every side appears to have hit something.

FYI, his car is priced at $14,500 if I remember. You can find good condition Type R(s) out there from reputable folks for that.

Hell, I think Trey's sold for that and it was in tip top shape. Just trying to be helpful, but good luck either way.

You don't have much use for a B18C5 in H1.

I never said the "shell" was not that of a Type R. I said the block isn't a USDM block, but a JDM block with a "5" hand-engraved at the end of it. Hence, not the original motor. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but because he knew nothing of why it was in there, that was cause for concern to me.

Stock rotors? The guy must have changed them.

64k? I know folks with 120k+ that don't burn/lose any oil. The valve cover gasket wasn't the issue with me, but the smoke and head gasket was.

Like I said, I drove the car and was not giving you this info from simple assumption. I was just offering some friendly advice. I've only had six of these cars, so I may know a little bit about them. Good luck regardless.

The front bumper looks to have been repainted.
