Default best intake manifold

ok im looking at getting a new manifold since my friend bought mine. i had a obx and it felt like it pulled fine...i was looking at a neat looking one made by a company called aebs, or getting another obx....i though about the skunk2 pro but is this worth 80 more dollars than the other 2?

get the stock b16 intake manifold if you arent going to let us know what you have first.

actually unless you get a custom intake manifold then everything else sucks.

wait, has anyone ever heard of the chrome aebs intake manifold? My couzin told me it was supposed to make more power than the other finish. Im not sure about that, but I would relaly like a chrome one. Now that I think about it, I should get some custom itb's cause they are supposed to give you teh most power. but im not sure if I want to spend the 300 dollars on ebay to get 4 spoon type throttle bodys and hook them all up together.
what does everyone think?
actually why doesnt everyone just say some one liners like "toda!" "AIR" maybe even jg cause jg has only one intake manifold. that would be very helpful.

yep, since in your sig it says that you got a stock B16, get a stock P30 (B16) manifold. no aftermarket manifold is better on a stock set-up from 0-8000rpm. now if you were running some lumpy cams, then you might look into a different manifold.

why?

if you are going to spend 300-600 bux to get a manifold extruded and its a pos intake manifold. spending money on something that was designed and mfg'd properly from the get go will usually be better

Since when was extrude honing 300-600 dollars?

Honestly if you are going to run nitrous the AEBS would be a good choice for you because it comes pretapped for direct port on the back of the manifold. It also has similar design to your OEM B16 manifold with more plenum volume.

they want 400. extrude hone doesnt have pricing on their website.

im pretty sure a h-t member on here that had a lightly modified itr did the process to his itr intake manifold and he had a bit more horse power.

there are a **** load of threads on how having smooth intake manifold runners isnt the best idea.

and I was joking about the b16 intake manifold. wtf would you get one of those when you can get itr intake manifolds, blox, and aebs manifolds?

Becasue the B16 manifold will actualy hold its own againt an ITR manifold until 8000rpm plus. But now that I know he is using nitrous he should really look at AEBS.

That is a crazy price quote for extrude honing a manifold. Nothing wrong with a smooth manifold. It is more the intake ports on the head that you do not want smooth.
