Drive shaft is popping out of ball bearing housing....
I recently replaced a booty, and the locking pin on my driveshaft that connects to my ball bearings. I hook up the driveshaft with a snap-ring pin, and make the pin "snap" onto the ball bearing housing ( I tug and tug on it and it seems like its really on there). Then I put everything on, brakes, wheel etc. and drive it like 20 ft., When I turn left it slowly makes a loud "clicking" noise and the shaft slips off the ball bearings and starts to spin. But the snap-ring is still in contact. What would cause this to happen? I am 90% sure the snap-ring fits on like it should, cuz I can't seem to get it off once I put it on, but something is causing it to come off.
I really appreciate any input at all on this, it's my last problem of many on this honda.

I'm trying to follow along with your post. You got the axle out and popped the outer joint loose from the shaft. Then you replaced the boot and when you put the outer joint on you made sure the 'grip ring' was squeezed down enough to slide back through the carrier bearings. Next you slammed the outer joint back onto the shaft with a big hammer, and reclamped the boot.
Now the situation is that the axle shaft is coming loose from the outer joint???
I'd have to say the 'grip ring' rode along the shaft instead of going through the bearing, or the outer joint wasn't put far enough back onto the shaft.
If all else fails throw a reman shaft at it.
